Life is sometimes difficult. It may be relationships, health, past experiences or other worries that cause us distress. There are also times when we can feel depressed or anxious, and have a sense that we are not living the life we would like.

Often when life is stressful, we cope in the only way we know how. These coping mechanisms do not offer us a way forward, instead they keep us doing the same old things.

At the moment, you might be feeling stuck, confused, sad or alone. Perhaps you would like your life to be different, and you don't know where to start. Finding and accepting help can be hard. Remember you are not the only one to suffer emotional distress: it is a normal part of being human.
